ABOUT THE BRAND
Since 1948, Puma has developed innovative performance products for the finest, fastest athletes in history. From football to golf to motorsport to running, these individuals set world records, win medals, and define unforgettable moments that officially change the game. These powerful player-product combinations are icons. They are the personality and momentum behind the Puma brand. They drive us forward. And together, we push sport forward.
In 2013, Bjørn Gulden (CEO) introduced Puma’s new mission statement: To be the Fastest Sports Brand in the world. The company’s mission not only reflects Puma’s new brand positioning of being Forever Faster, it also serves as the guiding principle for the company expressed through all of its actions and decisions. Our objective is to be fast in reacting to new trends, fast in bringing new innovations to the market, fast in decision-making and fast in solving problems for our partners.
KEEP PUSHING FORWARD - FOREVER FASTER
How do you push yourself? By setting goals. For PUMA, it’s to be the Fastest Sports Brand in the world. For someone ready to change the game, our values are easy to relate to: Be brave. Be confident. Be determined. Be joyful.
Sustainability is a key value of PUMA, deeply integrated in our business operations.
It guides our company to work faster toward a more just and sustainable future. At PUMA we are not without ambitions. We have 10 sustainability targets we want to reach by 2020. These are our 10FOR20. With these targets in mind, we aim to get better in environmental, health and safety, human rights, and governance matters within PUMA and our supply chain.
– FOREVER FASTER IS ALWAYS FIRST, NEVER SECOND, NEVER THIRD.
We strive to always bring new, better, different – meaningful innovation for game changing athletes.
When it comes to computers and shoes, we started with the basics back in 1984. The PUMA Running Studio was the place where computer technology was used to create better running shoes and better runners. The result was the revolutionary RS Computer Shoe, the first shoe to include computer technology designed to track running performance. Today we are still experimenting with digital technology and how it can help athletes perform.
