For almost two centuries, Miroir Brot carries on the local age-old tradition of glass and copper brass working. Their Master glassmakers and brass craft-men make following ageless techniques and know-how a wonderful and prestigious collection of mirrors. The consistent and unequalled quality of Brot’s mirrors sets as worldwide reference.
ABOUT THE STUDIO
Patrick Norguet aptly illustrates the designer's definition. It is primarily at the center of a collective and innovative, it is one of the protagonists of the project. His observation of the context, his analysis of the constraints, his respect of the usages built a solid dialogue with the industrialists and the numerous sponsors.
After design studies at ESDI Patrick Norguet is called to stage the showcases of luxury goods Saint Laurent and Vuitton. These experiences familiarize him with the understanding of brand identity and their development. Event architecture for Renault booths consolidates its spirit of synthesis applied to the ephemeral project.
Soon he opens to a wider field of design and is interested in technological advances in the field of furniture. In 2000, his Rainbow Chair, noticed and produced by Giulio Cappellini, gives him access to a visibility quickly relayed by the international media. He creates his Paris studio.
Italian brands will immediately identify its rigor and involvement in the project. Passionate about industrial processes, he will adapt his writing to the excellence of the know-how and optimize the efficiency of the means of production. His first collections of furniture for the American Bernhardt, for the Dutch Artifort, for the Swedish Offect, for the Spanish Capdell or for the French Alki and Tolix validate and impose its presence on international exhibitions. In 2010 the design of a McDonald's in France gradually establishes a collaboration and a reflection with McDonald's world.
Patrick Norguet is fluent in the scale of the project and puts his expertise at the service of manufacturers, publishers of objects, lighting and furniture while developing in 2014 the new hotel concept with the Okko chain in France. He becomes an emblematic figure of French design. The Italians, Alias, Arflex, Artemide, Cassina, Emu, Ethimo, Glass Italia, Kristalia, Lea Ceramica, Pedrali, Glass Italia, Padova and Tacchini quickly identified and recognized the talent and authority of the designer who accompanies the production in real partner and aims to install the collections in the long term.
From drawing to industrial tools to communication, Patrick Norguet gives the measure of the designer's place and responsibility as a player in the transformation of services and lifestyles.
